Hawaii Update

Dear Friends and Family,

We hope this letter finds you doing well. This letter is just to give a brief update on our progress to becoming full-time missionaries with Child Evangelism Fellowship of Hawaii. Firstly, we just want to thank you for your continued prayer and financial support. We have received several commitment cards with a willingness to become part of our prayer team as well as to become financial partners. As mentioned in our previous letter, Child Evangelism Fellowship of Hawaii has requested that we raise a total of $5084 in order to become full-time missionaries; of that amount, we have raised to date, $400 of full-time pledges. As seen from this figure, we still have a long way to go, but we also see that God is providing.  This process continues to test our faith on a daily basis, but more so, it has strengthened our faith and given us a greater desire and love for the one who gave His all for us, the Lord Jesus Christ.  We have also found comfort in James 1:2,

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish   its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.   If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

We know that the Lord is working and preparing us for the ministry ahead and we are doing our best to believe and not doubt, because we know that He is an awesome and mighty God who is able to do more than we can ever think or imagine.
        Secondly, the next training for CEF begins in August 2011 and we would love to attend; however, our training is also dependent on our financial support. We are praying that you would continue to consider becoming a financial partner with us; by doing so, you will also be investing in the great work that the Lord is doing. We are praying that the Lord will provide at least half of our support before August so that we can attend our three month training. Therefore, we need $1600 in full-time pledges in the next few months. So, again will you please prayerfully consider your part in becoming a financial partner with us because it will be a great opportunity for advancing the Gospel message. Few great accomplishments have been done by individuals alone. Great things come together when average people combine what they have with others. Ask God to show you how you can be part of the ministry financially to which He has called us.

Prayer Requests

1.      To have at least $1600 of our support by August to attend training

2.      To sell our house and one of our vehicles by August

3.      To raise all of our support by the end of the year 2011

4.      For all of the necessary transitions for us to go to Hawaii

5.      For everything to go smoothly from training to moving to Hawaii

6.      For continued prayer for God’s guidance, provision and wisdom

7.      For people to answer God’s call to support us and for God to touch people’s hearts to be faithful to support us financially and in prayer
